Not withstanding all my previous comments about pictures, I feel that if you have persisted with this site up to now, you are entitled to get a look at some more........so here they are, and thanks for your patience, which you are going to need because they are slow to download.

This is Mysotidium Hortensis , the Chatham Island Forget-me-not. This lovely little plant comes from, as it's name suggests, Chatham Island which lies off the coast off New Zealand. It seems to be very happy here in West Cork and it says "Hallo" to all it's cousins in New Zealand.

This photograph shows an Echium fatsuosum. This plant is now about three years old and the white rod in front is one metre in length. This gives you an idea of it's size. My very own favourite gardener tells me that it should flower next year.

Cassia corymbosa is the name of this plant. It is about six or seven years old and the "Corymbosa" part may not be correct, but it is suspected to be that. Anyway, it is a fantastic grower and makes a great show from about August to November, when, all around it, things are looking poorly. It is about seven feet tall and has a spread of eight to nine feet. Back to UPDATE FOR 2002

The Oxydendrum tree, planted in the "Forest" ,our new extension, is in flower as this picture shows. It is now about six to seven feet tall and appears to like living here by the sea. As a matter of fact, it does not look unlike seaweed, in this picture.

This is a Brahea armata which was planted in the spring of this year. It looks very exotic and will be watched carefully to see how it does. I have no idea what the sixty-five oak trees, who also reside in this part of the garden, think of it. "Intrusive" or "What a show-off" are  probably some of the words they use.

This, the final picture, has not a flower, nor plant nor tree in it. It shows a view from the garden on a Summer evening as the sun sets and the clouds foretell a shower of rain or two,  which will assist the growth of the flowers, plants and trees which are not in the picture.!!!
